Belotero® is one of the newest hyaluronic acid dermal fillers available for treating fine lines and wrinkles. This new cosmetic treatment helps diminish even the finest lines while promoting your safety and comfort, such as around your lips and eyes. Emmett Plastic Surgery, led by Dr. Jennifer Emmett, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, has helped Denver, Lone Tree, and Douglas County residents restore youthfulness to their faces with Belotero®.
What is Belotero®?
Belotero® is one of the latest dermal fillers to hit the market. Similar to Restylane® and Perlane®, Belotero® is made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found in our bodies that is a natural dermal filler. HA binds with water in your skin, stimulating hydration, which restores skin volume through moisture.
Benefits of Belotero®
One of the biggest benefits of Belotero® is its ability to treat even the most superficial lines on your face. It is a non-surgical procedure that creates natural-looking results with no downtime, allowing patients to continue with their day-to-day activities. Belotero® fills in facial lines, such as on your forehead, without affecting normal facial movement and expressions.
Is Belotero® Right for Me?
Belotero® may be right for you if you have any of the following:
- Loss of facial volume
- Marionette lines
- Nasolabial folds
- Thinning lips
- Lines around the eyes and forehead
What Happens During a Belotero® Treatment?
Using a very fine needle, Dr. Emmett will inject Belotero® into the very top-most layers of the dermis. Belotero® does not contain a numbing agent. If several areas are being treated, Dr. Emmett may apply a topical anesthetic to reduce any discomfort. The procedure is quick and only lasts approximately 30 minutes. When possible, Dr. Emmett uses an intraoral injection technique through the mouth to reach targeted areas.
What Can I Expect Following a Belotero® Injection?
You may experience minor redness, swelling or bruising, but they should resolve quickly. After treatment, you will immediately notice a difference in your skin’s volume and luminosity. Once the HA has time to stimulate the skin’s natural hydration process, you will notice less visibility of lines and wrinkles. A single treatment shows improved results up to nine months.
How Much Does Belotero® Cost?
Belotero® is generally considered an elective cosmetic treatment so many insurances will not cover the cost. Dr. Emmett offers financing through CareCredit®, Simmons Bank, and Prosper® Healthcare Lending. We also accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
