How is a Rejuvenize Peel™ Applied?
The Rejuvenize Peel™ is the deepest superficial chemical peel from SkinMedica®, so a local anesthetic may be given to alleviate any discomfort. The complete treatment takes about 45 minutes, with the actual application taking just 20 minutes. First your skin is cleansed, and then the peel is evenly applied to your skin using a soft brush or applicator. You may experience a tingling or burning sensation during application, but it can be controlled with a handheld fan.
What Can I Expect After a Rejuvenize Peel™?
Immediately following your Rejuvenize Peel™ your skin may have a yellowish tint, however, it should subside in a couple hours. You should expect peeling, which will range from mild flaking to flaking in sheets, and last up to five days. After your peel, you should protect your skin from sun exposure, as it will be sensitive. Make sure to use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
