Laser Procedures
Laser Skin Resurfacing:

Laser skin resurfacing produces wonderful results by removing wrinkles, lines around the eyes and mouth, acne scars and other scars and uneven skin pigmentation. The procedure uses a laser to "vaporize" the outer layers of the skin and concentrates more on the thicker, folded skin areas (or wrinkles). Because this procedure is done with a laser, it is very precise.
This procedure produces great results with little, if any bruising or bleeding and has a faster recovery rate than most other facial surgeries, making it very popular. Both men and women have used laser skin treatment along with other facial surgeries such as eyelid surgery or forehead lifts.
The skin that regenerates itself as a result of laser skin surgery is smoother, younger and more elastic. It takes about two or three weeks of healing to be presentable to the public after this surgery.

There may be an increased risk for pigmentation changes in those patients with darker skin tones due to the difference in colors within the derma (skin) layers. If you have taken Accutane within the past year or are prone to scarring or skin infections, you may not be an appropriate candidate for this surgery.
Dr. Stephen Goldstein will review all of these risks and provide all of your options during your initial consultation.
